Finding Something to Talk About When You Want to Run Away

Even in a good year, during the holidays families can find themselves in some interesting conversations. In 2016, though, I kind of expect air travel will dip and a lot of folks will just stay home. It’s that bad.

If you are going to spend time in an enclosed space with people with whom you don’t share much in common, maybe it’s a chance to hit the re-set button by telling simple stories. Stitch the group back together, somehow.

Back off from today, share memories, learn something you didn’t know about Grandpa. Hey, at least it fills the air time.

I jotted down some notes on ways to do that, and questions you might try bringing up. Whattaya think?
