I make fantasy portraits of our animal friends. You can commission one. Could be your companion, or a favorite species, perhaps. Could be a straight portrait, or something with some props/costuming/background elements. Generally starts around $200, depending on complexity.

Terms and Process and everything are Below.

Derek at Milk Barn Farm wanted a portrait of the lovely Caramel Ripple with vintage headphones

Jeremy wanted a lil mascot for his round-the-world bike tour, his favorite bird, the New Zealand Fantail

This fella is the header for a Mastodon server

Perhaps you raise Alpacas and also enjoy 80s music and tech?

Maybe your kitty is a mood?

Maybe you want to incorporate text and also you have a pet Platypus?

This one’s on a whole other level of complexity but hey, it was super fun to make. It also was made into a blanket. There’s a human here, because it’s someone I know well, normally I just focus on animals. Like Rupert, in the pack there.

Terms of Service for Private Commissions

01. General Terms

  • Prices are subject to change based on demand.

  • I reserve the right to reject any order for any reason.
  • I don’t accept commissions for anything violent, or sexual, or marginalizing – or that I’m uncomfortable with.

02. Payment

  • Currency accepted is USD, paid through PayPal (https://paypal.me/betsystreeter) or Venmo (@betsy-streeter).

  • Commissions can be paid either 100% upfront, or split 50% upfront and 50% after sketch approval.

  • Don’t send me any payment before I have agreed to give you a slot and requested you to send me the payment.

03. Process + Delivery

  • A commission can take 2 weeks to 3 months depending on complexity, other work, health or other factors.
  • Once up-front payment is received, you will be emailed 2-3 drafts/mockups from which you decide which one to base the final image on (depending on the complexity of the commission there might be fewer or more drafts)

  • Next, I generate a sketch and/or final sketches, which you must accept before I proceed to the final image generation. In the case of 50/50 payment this is where the second payment is due.
  • Final product is a high-res (2048×2048, 300dpi), digital, square-format JPEG/PNG, and a lower-res web-friendly file. You can have it printed/framed yourself, or I can make it available to you through Redbubble (prints, cards, stickers, shirts, plus all kinds of merch) or INPRNT (prints, cards, stickers). I’ve also seen my stuff reproduced on blankets which is lovely, so if you want to do that let me know and I’ll get you that info.

04. Revisions

  • 3 rounds of changes on the commissioned piece are included in the price.

  • A fee is added to change something in a drawing you have previously approved, the amount depends on complexity and time.

  • The quality of the reference material you provide is important! Clear, color images with multiple angles are best.
